Upper arm lift

The upper arm lift can be medically indicated in very severe cases. However, in most instances the operation is done for cosmetic reasons. The excessive skin can be found as result of severe weight loss or aging. The hanging skin flaps on the upper arms can be perceived as very bothersome and unsightly when wearing blouses and t-shirts.

The procedure is performed in general anesthesia. The skin and soft tissue are surgically removed on the inner side of the arm leaving a rather concealed scar. The procedure is often performed in combination with an abdominal lift, thigh lift and/or liposuction.
