We often think: «I’ll decide later.» But in truth, the best time to have a consultation for breast surgery – whether augmentation, lift, or reduction – is now. Why? Because the decision process takes time. And when timed well, the actual operation and initial recovery can take place during the cooler autumn and winter months – ideal for healing in privacy.

• Time is your ally: Many women underestimate the length of the decision journey: learning about options, reflecting on risks and benefits, consulting a trusted surgeon, and planning logistics (financing, leave, recovery). Starting the conversation early gives you breathing room, not pressure.
• Recovery during cooler months is ideal: Many practices, including mine, see a seasonal uptick in cosmetic procedures during the colder months. It reflects patients’ preference to operate when outdoor exposure is lower. Autumn and winter allow you to recover under clothing layers, making it easier to manage swelling, compression garments, and rest.
• Avoid rushing decisions: If you wait until spring or summer, you might feel pushed into hasty choices with less time for research, reflection, or consultation. Careful consideration is the key to a result that feels right – both emotionally and aesthetically.
