The nose is a defining feature of the face. When you’re unhappy with it, it can affect your well-being.
With a nose correction, we ensure that the new nose harmonises with the rest of the face. The procedure is performed under local or general anaesthesia. Before surgery, we assess whether any airway obstruction needs to be addressed simultaneously.
For minor corrections, we use a closed approach, leaving no visible scars. For more extensive procedures, an open approach is required, involving a V-shaped incision along the nasal ridge and additional cuts inside the nostrils. The skin is lifted from the nasal framework (bone and cartilage), and adjustments are made as needed.
In the open approach, bruising around the middle of the face and eyes can last for about a week.
Post-surgery, a nasal splint is applied, and nasal packing is inserted, which is removed after 24–48 hours. The splint must be worn for one week.
