With age, fat redistributes in the face, creating jowls along the jawline and hollows in the cheeks, leaving the face looking depleted.

Fat in the right places, however, can restore a youthful glow. Fat transfer allows us to correct hollows and irregularities in the cheeks by refilling them. Since up to 40% of transferred fat is reabsorbed by the body, at least three sessions are typically needed.

The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia. Fat is harvested from the lower abdomen or thighs using fine cannulas through tiny, barely visible incisions. The fat is then processed and injected into the marked facial areas.

Sagging fat along the jawline or under the chin can also be corrected through liposuction.
