The breasts are the symbol of femininity. Many women desire fuller curves, and the reasons for breast augmentation are as varied as they are personal.

In our practice, women often share that having small breasts affects their confidence and causes emotional distress. Some mention asymmetry or changes in shape after significant weight loss, pregnancy, or breastfeeding as reasons for wanting surgery.

Breastfeeding, in particular, often leads to the shrinking of glandular tissue and sagging breasts, which many women find upsetting. In these cases, we can combine breast augmentation with a lift to achieve a more youthful and firm appearance. To ensure the best results, your breasts must be fully developed before undergoing the procedure.

Breast augmentation aims to harmonise your breasts with your body shape. We carefully evaluate your proportions and use silicone implants to create breasts that complement your figure. We avoid oversized implants that are disproportionate to your body for medical reasons.

Silicone implants are available in a variety of shapes and sizes. Through detailed consultations, we’ll help you choose the ideal ones. We only use fifth-generation implants made with a cohesive silicone gel encased in a durable envelope, which prevents leaks even if the envelope is damaged. The outer envelope may be textured or smooth; we exclusively use textured implants.

The procedure is performed under general anaesthesia. Following preoperative markings, a small incision of up to 5 cm is made in the breast fold or around the nipple. A pocket is then created to insert the implant, either under the breast tissue (subglandular) or beneath the pectoral muscle (submuscular). Submuscular placement can be ideal for slimmer women to prevent or reduce implant wrinkling in the cleavage area. In some cases, a simultaneous tightening of the skin envelope may also be necessary.

We recommend replacing implants after about 15 years based on current medical guidance. Silicone implants do not interfere with breast cancer screenings, and extensive studies have shown no link between silicone and an increased cancer risk.
