Breast lift
A loss of skin elasticity is especially noticeable on the breasts after pregnancy or massive weight loss. The breasts are flaccid and may sag. This might cause psychological strain. The breast lift can bring the breasts back into their natural position and shape without reducing the breast size. The goal of the procedure is a firm and attractive breast. The sensitivity of the nipple is usually not affected. This procedure can be combined with a breast enlargement. A breast lift is only performed when the breast is fully developed.
This surgery is performed under general anesthesia. Markings are made before the operation and depending on the size of the breast different surgical techniques are chosen.
This also causes various types of incisions, which vary from ones around the areola to an inverted T or vertical ones.
The skin is tightened and the nipple is moved upward. The size of the breast is not reduced. After the procedure a special support bra must be worn day and night for 6 weeks and then during the day for another 6 weeks.
