After weight loss, excess skin often remains on the thighs, which can cause discomfort during movement and affect aesthetics. In some cases, the symptoms are so severe that a thigh lift is medically indicated. However, it is most often a cosmetic procedure.

Problematic areas can usually be treated with liposuction. If there is too much loose skin, liposuction alone is insufficient, and the excess skin must be surgically removed.

The procedure is performed under general anaesthesia. We remove the loose soft tissue from the inner thighs and tighten the skin upwards towards the groin. Scars are discreetly placed in the groin crease. In more severe cases, the incision may extend along the inner thighs.

A thigh lift is often combined with a tummy tuck, arm lift, and/or liposuction.
