Fat deposits, often found in areas such as the thighs, upper arms, and abdomen, can be difficult to eliminate through strict dieting and exercise alone.

Alternatively, the excess fat tissue can be removed through liposuction. This is a cosmetic procedure for contour correction, not a weight-loss method. For successful results, the skin must have good elasticity to retract after the procedure.

Liposuction is performed under local or general anaesthesia. The target areas are marked prior to the procedure. Small incisions, approximately 0.5 cm in size, are made, through which cannulas are inserted to remove the fat. The incisions are then sutured.

Following the procedure, you must wear compression stockings or a panty girdle day and night for 4–6 weeks. These help the skin adhere evenly to the treated areas.
