In 2003, I completed my medical degree at the University of Bern, passing the state examination and earning my doctorate in the same year. I began my career as a resident at the University Clinic for Plastic and Hand Surgery at the Inselspital in Bern. In 2010, I obtained the FMH title of Specialist in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery, followed by my promotion to senior physician. In April 2013, my father and I opened our private practice for plastic surgery in the heart of Bern.

I owe my passion for this profession to my father, Andrej Banič, the former director and head of the University Clinic for Plastic and Hand Surgery in Bern. During my medical studies, my work at the Inselspital, and more than a decade in private practice, I had the immense privilege of learning directly from one of the world’s leading plastic surgeons and continuously developing my skills.

In 2023, Andrej passed away, leaving behind a painful void. Yet his knowledge, passion, and patient-centred approach live on in the practice we founded together – every day, with every patient.

I always take the necessary time to thoroughly advise my patients and ease any fears they may have about undergoing a procedure. I am well-versed in the latest techniques and innovations in plastic surgery. My work in the operating room and, above all, my interaction with people bring me immense fulfilment.

I particularly cherish the moments when someone leaves our practice after a procedure – whether large or small – with a radiant smile. It is a reaffirmation of what my team and I strive to offer every patient: Craftsmanship for the breast, face, and body.

Plastic surgery has fascinated me ever since I worked in this field at Bürgerspital Solothurn. In September 2024, I decided to return to plastic surgery – this time in a private practice. Prior to this, I also gained experience in gynaecology, pulmonology, orthopaedics and sports medicine, gastroenterology, and angiology.

I completed a three-year apprenticeship as a Certified Medical Practice Assistant (EFZ) and am currently furthering my education to become a nutritionist.

Anyone who works or visits our practice knows how much I love baking – and I enjoy sharing this passion with others. Alongside baking, I am also passionate about coffee, diving, and spending time in nature.
